Google just announced during the Google i/o event 2016 two Messenger application to compete with solutions like WhatsApp, Telegram and Facebook Messenger. Called Allo and Duo it does not replace the Hangouts, but uses the programming Assistant to understand more about you.
According to Erik Kay, Director at Google, the Allo is a Messenger Smart that learns over time “and make your conversations more productive and easy. For example, if a friend of yours send a picture in a cat, he will understand how you respond and should suggest a phrase for you not to waste time typing. “Trading cards” are also stored as standard answers over time.
The Allo also has a solution for emoticons and stickers called “Expressions”, which can be activated by small gestures on the screen. Something interesting present in the app is the ability to suggest tips and topics for conversations — that is: you won’t run out of subject if you are flirting with someone.
Another point where the Allo works integrated with the Assistant is the ability to deal with commercial establishments. For example, if you are combining with his friends where will be the dinner of the night, you can find and book tables directly from the application.
For the more worried when it comes to privacy, the Allo will compete head-on with apps like WhatsApp and Signal, since it offers end-to-end encryption for messages. The Allo should arrive between August and November for Android and iOS devices. Below you see a feature in Messenger.
Will the Allo will be able to steal users from other messengers? Give your opinion in the comments field.
